If you have nova on lvl 1 its enough for cm to dominate the lane and you can easily kill zeus without frostbite and also.
By taking Aura on level 2 and LEVEL 3 YOU ENSURE THAT YOUR friends get manareg highly enough to dominate their lane WHICH means your helping your entire team & ALSO you can spam more of your spells to nuke zeus so he gets low all the time and becomes an easy target.

edit: stayed calm in the games i've played with him.
