imo a good idea; ppl who got high xp now wont have any problems to reach a bigger amount of xp again and there wont be low-xp-players who get picked for lowering sum-up-xps in cm/cd ;)
if it would change anything for the picks (for the "unknown" ppl).... i dont know; but they propably get their chance to show how good they are and will be able to join the real community inhere and play more often in cpt-modes

Well, I have less than 1000 xp, but I still don't really care. If we do a reset it would be nice to see all starting on the same level. If we don't, I will keep on trying to raise my xp again.

Sure sounds good, starting fresh is always nice, maybe it could be a yearly thing or so and then we have a hall of fame thingy on who won which year and such. So I vote for reset each year or term. Resetting with the release of 6.61 sounds fair, just don't do it before August since I can't play until then ! :P

the first weeks will be horrible. Imagine miracle, morden, izno, strangby and barbara stack having as much xp as the team they would force :)

Discussed plenty of times, a Hall of Fame with a reset every 3(mabye 4,5,6) month would be the best solution imho.
Easy to implement new formulas after every reset, new dotaversion etc. , so it will not affect the lifetime achievement of our pro players.
Another advantage is that after every reset the fresh blood can join the race of the champion, alot of motivation involved.
