Sadly the game was saved around minute 5  ... so u cant see anything in the replay

Story:
Okay so we had an xp game. CD phase ends, i tell everyone what lane he should go. We end up having sk lion top (good lane imho), morph mid and wd cw bot. After i told everyone what to do, only wd was left to pick. I have to say: i rly dislike it, when the first thing, that some ppl do is picking the carrys, alltho they know there are better players in the team. However np, i support, they may carry. Now during the game everybody in our team did mistakes, some more, some less. But there is one thing i totally dont understand: How can sk lion get raped by Panda lesh? So okay, everybody has bad games. Until i saw SK stormbolting lesh at around lv11 and doing what? ... 100dmg? "SK u got Stun lv1?" - "yes" .... woot?
So after pretty much everyone was more or less laughing about it, he startet to argue. Until the end of the game he didnt accept the fact that the zero increased mana cost + the increased spell dmg is very important in early game. Especially vs heroes like lesh, that have around 600 hp at lvl 5.

I have to say in those last weeks, xp has changed significantly. I dont have a problem, if ppl fail one game (like almost every one did this game). But  under any circumstances, I dont want to play with ppl, that choose to pick Carry heroes and dont even know the basics of how to skill them. Now i know Slimy can do better. But after he argued so much about his pro skill build, I atleast think, this thread is justified.

I hope the others ingame can support this, since we cant provide a replay
Furthermore I plan to create more threads like this, cause i dont want xp to degrade to "just another pub channel". Skill Builds are an important part of Dota, and ppl that dont know proper Skill or Item builds shouldnt play here (or atleast ask what they shall do).

i can support this, if he would just have said, sry guys won't happen again or something like that (and skill stun higher from this time on), but we asked him at around lvl 10 and at lvl 18 he still had lvl 1 stun and was argueing...
we all know he can do better cause he's playin so often... hope this thread helps to cure from some "pro-builds"

well, i support this intention, since there are to many players playing bad atm. I could count like 5 playes instant, that need these survilliance req. But i dont think u should do that to slimy. I admit, if the story is true, you are telling us, he did a VERY weird skilling. But i know he ca do better, and usually does. He was once at 500 points, and played himself up to 1200. I see him playing CM/CD vs strong stacks, and so i doubt he got carried to that points.

Looks like slimy failed this one game, I've seen him fail before aswell, but not as much as he has NOT failed. Probably he shouldnt have been so eager about picking SK when he skills stun lvl 1 ( Should max stun and stats until lvl 8)

This thread is not concerning his general skill, but this specifical Skillbuild and the fact, that he refused to admit he did wrong - up to the point, that he told us to shut up. If he wants to carry - np. But then he'll better do it right. If he still loses in that case, cuz he got outplayed or had a bad day - who cares? ... At least i dont.

Skillwise he was ok in all the games I played with him.

However you did good to write this thread : maybe he was tired, maybe he had a bad maybe whatever... It kinda ruined your game so it's good he knows that 1) If he does it too often, it won't be any good for him on this channel and 2) His play /skillbuild / whatever this game was REALLY stupid.

You're right about people rushing carry, I don't understand why the lowest xp guys always pick the Carry heroes first...

However, you're wrong about making this thread, you could have solved it on IRC, just by talking to him even if he's a smartass.

Honestly stop the misplaced pride... The build DOES suck : there is not a single reason to build SK like this... Why even argue with people about it ingame ?

Everyone on this thread say that slimy is ok skillwise, i really don't get your opinion about why people should never know things like this... Again if you consider slimy is a good player then his actions ingame were just uncaring, which is a pain in xp games. What's really not understandable in that ? :////

well starting out with this quote, the last top high-skilled replays from Dreamhack, there was ALWAYS morph and he was ALWAYS played with bot! so perhaps ppl in here should just stop thinking they know all about skillbuilds as same heros can have many different skillbuilds against different lineups with different teammates.

same goes for itembuilds.

so for this case (stormbolt lvl 1) i, too, dont understand the benefits from "not skilling stormbolt to higher level". so perhaps slimy could explain his own thoughs on this and gets convinced.
As ppl stated that he was ok skillwise i can just say: from where do the "best skillbuilds come"? and who says its "best"? Of course most of the skillbuilds can be discovered by just using a humans brain, but some cant. maybe he loved more having +200hp and getting better farm with more lanestaying capability, but less gank-capability in this game, i dont know.
Still i like those threads because such discussions are useful to the community.

just my 2 cents and i support this request until i konw slimys thoughts and get the feeling he was "not stupidly thinking".

For sure it would look better, dude. But look at the end game screen - I guess if not for stun we could say that sk tried to do well, right? But, like, nobody blames lion for 4 wards in 48 min and 2/12 stats. I think that being unable to make a few lasthits and get wards as support hero in game vs pudge and potm is much worse.

Regarding BoT on morph - para1 is right (thanks for nice comment) and I am not going to start a discussion cuz thats just my personal feeling that when you have 2 carry heroes in team (e.g. morph and sk) BoT is quite useless. Feel free to disagree.

yes 4 wards in 48 mins are bad, but its like in 90% of the xp games that support fails and doesnt buy wards. and still, the warding of lion / wd has nothing to do with his skillbuild which is total crap.

support it since i got only bad experience with him.

@Sabian i TRIED to solve this matter via chat. If you carefully read what i wrote, you see that he just didnt want to accept the fact, that this build isnt good at all.

This is actually why i created this thread. I just dont want him to fail on lane again with sk/lion, at least not in my team. I mean ... if this thread and the ppl posting in here is enough to finally make him think about his skillbuild, i am totally satisfied. I do not want him to be removed and if he says "okay, it was my bad skilling it like that" this matter may be closed. Im not even talking about losing the game ...nobody can tell what would have happened, if their lane wouldnt have failed.

BTW: If it was a rage request, i would have requestet lion and cw aswell. They played pretty bad BUT playing bad one game does not justify a thread. However: Doing stupid skill builds and argueing about it being totally viable does.
Imho Lesh is pretty much a free kill beginning with lvl5 vs lion/sk. At least as long as your stun does some damage ...


@voodoo Tho i prefer pt over bot on morph, i still think bot is viable. As some ppl pointed out, there are different viable skill/itembuilds on SOME heroes. But imho, at least the aspect of skilling Stormbolt on sk is something not worth debating about. You cripple ur early laning ability with having it on lv1 all the game. One reason to pick SK is actually, that he has a decent laning and a great lategame. If i want a pure lategamer without any early killing power, i can pick Mortred, Void or whatever.
