I know of several players, me included, that dont like the current static ban system. There are quite a lot Heroes, that can compare with LOA, like spectre, DK or maybe Tide. Imho, bans should be done BEFORE the pick-phase starts (to prevent abusing) by the captains. Maybe one or two Herobans for each team.

Whats ur point of view concerning the hero ban system?

there is already a 15 min delay due to picks (pause / unpause etc ...), so I don't think that add more is a good idea.

PLus the fact that if the captain fails completely (which can happen), there will be more dramas, flames, surveillance debates etc

well imo every team (captain) should be able to ban 1 up to 2 heros in the pool.
doesnt delays the game too much (2 secs lol.)
and the picks are more even. no need for the static ban system then.

As I see it the banning in channel was to remove the obvious unbalanced heroes. Do we really need banning of other heroes from the random rd pool? If LOA isn't part of the pool risk is that the heroes left (after 4 bans or so) are more or less crappy and that's not a good game in my book. Besides all of LOA have been nerfed since the introduction of the system and I think they should be tested once again.

well imo a dynamic ban system makes the games more interesting.
with that the quality of the game is increased.
there are so many situations where a fp or second pick alrdy decides the whole game.
to prevent that every side should be able to ban at least one hero.

for me there are more pros than cons for a dynamic ban system.
u can try to enlighten me with pros for the static system, cz i cant rly find one :/
but thats just my opinion.

No, after the game began, everyone saw the pool (right after -rd) but before u know, what team begins to pick.

1 ban every team shouldnt take that long.

I'm with BaBaUTZ and Lighthammer here. If new hero that has just come out is unbalanced it should be banned without questions(admiral maybe), sure. But heros like omni or lycan haven't chanced almost at all in the last 4 version so they aren't really unbalanced, just really good.

I support the banning after players have seen the pool but why should the banning take place before teams know who picks first?!?
Imo after it's been randomed which team starts the game is paused and both ban 1 hero, first the team that gets the first pick.

This way heros like omniknight will still be banned if needed and this makes the picking process even more interesting.
And this won't take long at all, maybe 30s extra max..

You forget something, that system works if two "clans" are playing. Imo it leads to alot of problems in xp:

1. 10 randoms divided into 2 teams, 5 oppinions from really different guys  meet each other(alot of flame and hate even before the match starts, you know what i mean)
2. It will delay the beginning of the game even more (especially if LOA is not in the pool), because democratic decisions will be a pain in the ass with alot of guys here who will just switch on the -i rule you suck mode-.
3. blaming each other after the game f.e "i would have banned blabla you idiot" will just increase surveillance/ban crap.

just my 2 cents.

I did never mention democratic decisions. Team captains may consult their mates as they may do with first picks ...but they dont have to

Agree with babautz.

I mean there's a discussion and an agreement on heroes to pick every time, why not do it on bans ?
Remove the LOA ban on irc, and decide it ingame once the pool is drawn. 1 ban per team.

Too pro for xp =) I would love to play cm though.

Dynamic bans seem like an awesome idea since there are few "tier 1" heroes and when there are only 1 in pool - it's like 75% of the win for the first-pick-team.
