6.55 and XP Gameplay Changes

Important changes:
Teleporting and towers concept:
- Scrolls now work different: you target an area around tower and enemy does not see where. Many can teleport same time but it does NOT give invulnerability to tower. Also if tower dies while tp, it still works.
- Any player can press to "buy" an item (but actually it's like an instant spell) in base that gives ALL your buildings invulnerability 4 seconds (all towers + raxes). Only works once every 6 minutes.
Invisibility and vision new strats
- Sentries have lower truesight area! And are half duration! (3 min). Because...
- New item Dust of Appearance works like area dispel for invisibility. Cheap item for carry around with u like a consumable. For 12 sec it reveals invisible units near u in 1250 aoe (pretty big dont worry)
- Observer wards now stack only 2 instead of 3 every 6 minutes. So less wards on map in same time.
Shops, curiers and terain:
- You can now purchase items in your base without a courier (they drop to the floor)
- Goblin shop now have TP, RoR and MagicStick (if u are chased in those corners of the map or feel a gang, and u don't have a TP scroll, go buy one and teleport! Instant escape. Or instant back to base)
- Couriers can no longer place wards! Or have the upgrades for mana.
- Couriers now have a "Drop All Items" ability
- Sentinel base has a lot larger empty area in front of middle entrance. Harder to gang from sent woods.
- Both bases now have both lateral entries wider. It's same size like middle entrance. No more squeeze battles.
- Tree and Throne are closer to middle of bases. Lots of area behind them.
- Fountain and shops are in circle around u. Easier now to buy fast. Shops have sounds too.
- Taverns are moved in opposite corners. U can cut trees and reach that area to hide or fight (plenty of space)
Aegis and Roshan
- Aegis now respawns you where you died with full hp and mana but is undroppable and unstackable. Roshan takes it back when he respawns if it is unused. Aka who got it remains with it! And must use it till next roshan.
- The game now announces who acquires Aegis. So everyone knows ur target!
- Roshan now gradually becomes stronger over time instead of after death
Disables:
- Guinsoo has higher cooldown. Aka nerfed guinsoo.
Heroes
- 2 new heroes. We will see if they are top rd picks or not in time.
- KotL has interesting new abilities that can help team and create new strategies --> mana rupture: The longer the target runs, the more mana will be drained. Ulti is morph to new unit that can recall any allied hero on map to u and remove damage effects. And AOE BLIND! Everything in aoe misses 80% of attacks.
- Bounty ultimate gives movement bonus for allied heroes that chase tracked target. Interesting...
- Brood nerfed just a little.
- BM hawk nerfed a lot. It's not invisible anymore but its a lot faster and has 200 hp.
- SandKing has more armor
- Mercurial ultimate now has 120 sec at all levels. No more lvl3 dominate.
- Clock battery shorter time, hook longer cooldown. Aka nerf!
- Visage reventants now see A LOT less on day! And no more spell imune at lvl3. And they can no longer attack items.
- Medusa purge even lower cooldown and extra arrow to split shoot.
- OMNI ultimate nerfed! Less AOE and duration.
Items:
- New Magic stick. Basically like Bloodstone but gathers spells. When enemy or allied hero casts spell near you, it gets a charge. Max 12. Release charges and for each u have 12 mana and 12 life. Aka 144 at max. Imba item if u face spellcasters like zeus, etc.
- New bots upgrade: Phase boots. Great for hunters, basically gives u more MS, damage and phase through stuff like mercurial dagger.
- Dagger half cooldown (now 15 sec), Only gets disabled from player based damage. So BIG buff.
- New BKB has decreasing duration and cooldown in time.. The more u use it the weaker it becomes?
- New Boots of Travel have 3 sec teleport and more movement speed.
- New Lothar is different items, cheaper, more damage but no agi bonuses.
- Difusal more agi bonus but more expensive.
- Same with Manta but with MORE mana burn.
- New sange has direct 15% maim (old was 10% s&y had 15%). New Yasha has direct 15% IAS. New S&Y cheaper but less damage. And MS bonus does not stack with Yasha anymore!!
- HoT has 15 regen instead of 12.
- Tangos are 3 instead of 2.
Money:
- Changed First Blood to be given to the Assist players when creeps kill the hero rather than giving it to Sentinel or Scourge and splitting
- Tower gold is split if Sentinel or Scourge gets the last hit
- Denied towers give 50% team gold rather than 0%.
- Global team tower bounty increases a little per tower level
- Hero Kills now give a flat gold bounty in an area (+40, not to killer)
There are more changes visually or minor tweaks to heroes that are not so important atm.

Gogo push strat with kotl and magic stick. Omni no longer needed, since kotl aoe blind has almost the same effect. But what about lycan? Maybe the bkb nerf will take care of him. The bkb nerf affects a lot of 54 monsters like lycan, brood, dk, luna. Seems int heroes will be stronger although hex is nerfed a bit. Very big changes to the game. Very interesting indeed.

once again i like the changes to shorten gamelength and moreover those concerning a motivation in teamspirit.

Too bad they didn't remove buy-outs. It doesn't add anything to the game, but making long games even longer. If you make a mistake then just learn to live with the fact that you are dead

Most lovely change: support will get more gold and carriers less! (if i read original changelog correctly)

BAH i love the new version ! I like the fixes ! The TP thing, the aegis story, FINALLY improving the dagger CD and in combat definition,the new items... there are sooo many thing which are increasing game quality, dota is now more about team work now! u cant send a stupid crow around to place wards, u have to gather with mates , and gang + place wards manually !
I am always watching the competitve games of the great teams ... I am excited... If this version gets the played one, soooo many teams will have a big kick in the ass ^^
Ps : Windrunner is imba with basher and stygian lol

Does anyone know how this will work? Is it +40 gold for each hero in an area of where the hero actually dies, you need to be close to the hero to get this extra reward? Is this an addition to the usual herokill/lasthit bounty?

How about reseting the xp every know and then so people don't stop playing when they have high xp? Not too often though.
