[Slund]

Hi xp-gamers,

First of all I would like to say that this isn't a whinethread or a hate-Cip-thread.

Now, after a game with Cip, Im under surveilliance. And all I want to know is, do you guys think I deserved it?

The reason:  "Admins Comment on Slund-> Under surveillance for low skills. Worst magnus with no dagger no item at 40, ignoring team completly."

"No dagger [..] at 40":
I got the dagger after 43min and I honestly don't think I needed it before, mb sometimes for escaping.

"No item at 40":
Nope, but either did Puck or Medusa. So it wasn't really me who was feeding or farming bad.

"Ignoring team completly.":
Can't find any moment in the game where my team ask me for anything!
At 18 i asked Cip to gank drow at bottom lane, he ignored me and went mid for farming. Drow had been a 100% kill.
We're in the bottom lane asking several times for someone to come and gank bottom lane. No one did show up.

"Under surveillance for low skills."
I didn't play a good game, but either did my team. The times I daggered in and caught opponents with my ulti my team didn't help me.

I made mistakes, but so did my team. And I don't think that another magnus player would have won the game.
So Im asking you guys again, do you think I deserved it? That's all I want to know.

I played a game with you today, and I reckon you did very well. You picked good and you ganged good. I have no screenie of the game because admin LagunaB was in game, but i caught a leaverscreen here:

At least I think you did well that game. Above what many other xp players would do.

magnus no dagger 40min? is it needed be4 you say? imo dagger is the second item you buy after preservance or maybee also after boots. and should be bought around 20min mark

That's the real problem with cip =) You should remove asap when you see him adding =(

PS. Dagger on magnus is a really must_have_early_item - that's for sure. But well... Can't blame you for wanting to try out your own build.

I was in this game, in opposite team.

And I feel I have to state my honest opinion about this matter.

First of all, the entire team of sentinel played bad except cip. Cip had mid lane vs me, runecontrol on 8/10 first runespawns, and managed to build lothars pretty fast.

According to you playing magnus, you did fairly bad in understanding the game; how to move, where to go etc. One example of this is when we are in closest creepspawn of sentinel, and ganked a hero of your team, then move back to farm sentinel forest; to find you standing there farming (with 20% hp) and getting killed in an instant!
-When you see a teammate getting ganked, why are u still in forest farming, and don't you expect us going forest when we move back?

Second of all, playing magnus in an XP game, should have you know that dagger is first item to get, after perseverance maybe.

Wheter or not you should be under surveilliance is not my call, but according to how you played in _THIS_ particular game; I would say it was a correct decition. But I would say the player who had medusa did and equal bad game, and should be under surveilliance aswell.

I'm in a hurry now, will come back and read this thread again and make more inputs when I've thougth about em, maybe watch replay, since it's the last game I played.

I know it was a mistake to go for BF before dagger.
But in this exact game (if you watch the replay) I don´t think I needed it before.
And you can see in the replay that I actually managed to make good ultis without the dagger.

to pick up arcanons thoughts ill respond directly to slund:

well the only thing imo is that you delayed dagger that far. it's a crucial mistake. And 1 assist ? :I

but you did "normal" farm and you were not the worst in your team.
1/12 naga siren, lvl 15, with treads and sange (+1 quarterstaff...). <- !

i know you as a better player as well. i think you dont deserve this surveillance, or in other words you will have no problem to deal with it til it wears off.

iZZ is probably true here. If it is what it seems, that you made a simple misstake and going dagger that late but you know how to play and don't deserve the surveilliance, you will have no problem wearing the surveilliance time out.

The thing I've come to notice is that when your team is performing bad, you usually get dragged into it, and perform bad aswell. This is what differs the top skilled players from the rest. Sadly I am not one of these, and sometimes I'll tend to do the same; ie buying wrong items, a couple of stupid deaths, farming woods instead of helping team etc. But this usually happens when game is already decided and my own focus is lowered due to other reasons aswell (girlfriend screaming at home saying I need to go to the laundry room for example).

-What I am trying to say here is: if this was a one time happening, or a so called "bad day", it's no problem. You just had the bad luck to get caught by an admin who havn't seen the whole picture. But if it's a repeated action from your side, it will get noticed and you will sooner or later be removed from the xp channel. But for now, you have to step it up a notch and 'prove' that you fit into the xp channel. No need to be pro, just avrage, which neither you or medusa in the stated game were.

I was the one who vouched for Slund for early acess.
And the games ive played with him since then, did not make me regret it, although i dont know him at all.

I have no reason to believe that this player doesnt fit into .xp.

But still, it was Cips choice and we must respect it. You only get 1 chance for a first impression, and you had badluck that an Admin was ingame.

Regarding the positive feedback Slund receives tho, i am sure that this case will be rested soon.
