I think modes like -ap are too tempting for some.
They would just try to rush their "favourite" and forget about team-synergy-hereos.
Modes like -rd (which is the common mode @ xp (!add2)), give the possibilitiey to discuss matchups, and offer a broad variety of heroes which you can combine.
These mods shall encourage people to forget about their favourites, and rather try to experience new possibilities of team-matchup/fights.

MrMojo I agree with you but xp stays for experience players (I guess) and maybe if we play ap there with banning heroes and picking heroes like a cw, maybe the xp channel gets then a better quality of games?

Indeed. Only assures for now u play with ppl that don't have huge banhistories and also not with evading accounts.
In time we will start deny access for low skills.

Well and how do you decide who is low and who is high skilled? im pretty curious, should everyone who wants access to that chan upload some replays? and what happens to the guys who already have access but aren't skilled enough at all?

I think 5 games or more should suffice who is low and high. Some things like Teamplay, creepstats, denys etc.

Admins and other players by vote will decide. It's not only about high skills.. but others have the right to decide if they wanna play with someone or not.
There are already some rules on XP DENY thread. Also admins can deny someone for bad behavior, manners, long ban history, etc.
It's not as hard as you think. We won't deny things like a bad game where u simply couldn't do anything. But there are things easly spoted: ignoring teamplay, using crap builds like battlefury on ranged, annoying team mates, suiciding on purpose, throwing mates at enemy, buying mass chicks, type ff all game and blame everyone for loss every 2 minutes, follow mate and kill his neutral camps, give divine to enemy on purpose, sell all items half game to buy something stupid, abusing share, ETC
There are tons of reasons for deny. And trust me, each happens more then we want to. There are plenty of people who will be filtered in time by pissing others off.

Everything is not about skill. Alot if about to be adaptive.
If you can adapt in games, you automatically perform better in my eyes.

I hate to sound bitchy, but...
i can guarantee you, that at least 50% of the xp games, that are played, are started by me (unless a famous person adds) and im advertising like insane for these games.
Sometimes im scared that i get banned for it.
So i really know how hard it is to start these games.
What i mean by that is, its hard enough already to start a game in prime time.
And to be honest, im quite satisified with the xp games i experienced until now.
I support the idea of filtering people a lot tho, and i encourage you to think about it, yes.
But keep in mind, that filtering the .xp too much, might lead to even less games.

The players ban the heroes and why banning and picking heroes, I think the xp channel becomes then more professionality.

Xp channel purpose is not to be clanwar like or even inhouse like. It's only to avoid newcomers, and expect higher quality pickup games.
[Stupid numbers mode]
Say out of 100 pickup games, you play 30 with complete noobs who obviously haven't a clue about what's going on, and 20 are actually tense games, with good players in it. In xp, you can expect to have only 5 of the first kind, and 50 of the second kind. Nothing more.
[/Stupid numbers mode]
At least, that's how i see it. If i want to play cw-like, or ih-like, i join a clan, or i gather my friends, but i'm not going to Xp.
