--- What is the purpose of Dotapickup.xp? ---

I just can't figure out for what this channel is for.

Very well mannered players?   Same as in other channels, if you have bad manners, you get banned.
Very mature players?Often people don't speak a word the entire game which makes teamplay impossible, still no difference to other channels.
Very skilled players? You gotta be kidding me, getting a yasha over dagger as Magnus is anything else than skilled.

So, what is the difference between other channels?

Person can be banned from .xp for getting yasha over dagger on Magnus due to low skills. That is the difference

you don't really expect a 100% supadupaskill guaranteed channel, do you?
face reality.. XP stands for experienced, measured by the users' gamecount.
this rules out the 50-games-played amateurs who don't have much of a clue how things rly work.. but as we all should know, there are ppl with +500 games (or even more) who are not SUPASKILL but still experienced [as for their games].
nonetheless, there are and will be players with +500 stupid games who mb need 5k played to figure things out..

if you observe the channel a bit more and add with the right folks, you will habe "better" games than MOST (y not all) .euro add-ups!

Ayay mr COLDbi..reaver!

Yawn... how some think they can express their rage by making useless posts.

How about figure it out for yourself why channel was made? I said it numerous times. And stop pretending you are on dota high skilled tournaments for a while? Or.. go take a walk outside and chill..

Coldreaver,
This new topic looks like a rage-topic and doesn't look good...

Cip,
Asking something in rage is bad, but replying to it with rage is bad too...

So you both ... relax!

Coldreaver, I have asked myself the same question. But somewhere windy wrote two benefits you can't deny:
1) You don't play with newcomers.
2) You don't play with evaders.

I hope this pleases your question.

Neither do I play "high skilled tournaments" nor do I expect someone else here to do (I don't even know where I said I was a "pro"). But talking to your teammates and obtaining some intelligent items is not dedicated to "pros" only.

Just stop running out of the burning car while your family dies in the back. (This means you should respect that you are not playing alone.) If you are going to play a football match, you don't show up in diving fins either.

Edit: ofcourse is this a rage topic, if I had nothing to complain about I couldn't have made it (doh).

Coldreaver, i was in .xp also when i noticed you raging about that Magnus.

Take it as a bad game, and forget it. Dont bother with it, just !add for the next one.
You CANT expect to have a game with 10 Pros, and you CANT expect people to be like YOU want em to be.

But what you CAN expect is, that you have NO newcomer, NO evaded, just like Leo/Windy said it.

And to be honest, that Magnus youre raging about is not a newcomer, you obviously forgot how newcomer play. wink

All in all, i would say forget it and do like iZZ said, observe and add with the ones you think that play well enough. smiley

I DON'T expect to have 10 pro's in a game, but I CAN expect players to respect others.

As I already said, if you have played over 500 matches, then you show up in fins and dont talk a word to your mates, it is a plain offense for me.

Maybe the purpose of the XP channel could be clarified better. For example, if we are allowed to unvouch people from XP, how it should be done. What are expected from players here, other than 500 games.

What I personally expect isn't 10 uber pro players. Especially since my skill level isn't even up there :)

What I expect is.

1) People knowing how to pick, just somewhat at least. Not some perfect picks, but seeing that a 3rd agility hero probably isn't the best thing for the team.
2) Item purchases. Not some divine way to build your hero, but a general understanding. For example blinkstick over Yasha on Magnus.
3) More communication than on euro, if you are unsure bout what hero to get, item, etc. Just ask.

Basically not some perfect place, but just getting the worst of the worst away from XP, cause god forbid there are some guys who obviously haven't played this game a lot, and it can be really annoying playing with a guy who keeps feeding.

I'm not intolerant. I just don't like it when somebody takes me for a ride.
I sometimes wonder what these people have in mind. "YESSSSS I wasted 50 mins for my teammates, im fucking 1337!!1"

cant see anything "pro" on getting dagger on magnus, that is simply a basic.

also i think if people do stuff like that often they should get denied from xp. ^_^

i think loof said it all. I know that i aint pro and dont expect everyone else to be either. just as long as they have a general idea on how to play the hero they pick and if they need help with item picks they have the curage to ask for it.
