After an awesome summer and nice timing with the christmas at hand, we have good news! Dota2pickup.com is running and we are getting new members every day! If you are not one of them, we strongly suggest that you go to dota2pickup and register right this instance! If you switched over to DotA2 and want to play with the same people you played with here - search no longer!

The forum at d2p is currently working aswell, where we discuss everything related with d2p. So don't come and look here at the dp forum anymore if you want to keep updated. So come on and join us there, make d2p the same cool, awesome and friendly place dp once was!

What you have been waiting for is now LIVE! The alpha test is now commencing at dota2pickup.com! YAY! We need you to test several things out so bugs can be brought to light. So how do you join the alpha test? Please spam imbaRabbit with a PM (or send him 2!) saying that you want access to the site. He will reply asap with details regarding username and password. So when you do connect to the site, do not be shy in trying act like a villain - it is indeed encouraged! If you find any bugs please report them.

So whats the next step you ask? Well let me tell you; Several things are under construction, but the major time is spent on giving the forum life at d2p. When the forum goes live we will slowly but safely move over to it. We're not saying that the dp-forum will die but things that are d2p-connected will be posted at the d2p-forum and there only. This is for us to keep things separated and more easy to handle. So, thank you for the patience and enduring the wait - we know you have been eager to help and to check things out. Now is your chance! Go nuts, go spam, go do what you WANT to do - it is allowed for the time being. Thank you in advance for helping out!

Dear dp members,


Finally; A light at the end of the tunnel that everyone thought was never-ending, a new hope! Dotapickup might be able to survive and transition into Dota 2 against all odds. What we have been waiting for came as a lightning from a clear sky; the possible future and next chapter of dp will be written now. We have begun to brainstorm and we are currently taking all the ideas we can get as how to make dp survive. Will we create a new site? Will we concentrate on dota 2 only? Can we get rid of the validation system and attract new players? What can we change and most importantly: What do YOU want to change about dp? If you have any ideas or want to make your voice heard, be sure to leave your thoughts in this brainstorming thread. Don't miss this opportunity to help dp for the greater good!

We are in the need of people with the skill of art; Designers. Be sure to tell your sisters, your mother and your cousins; We need YOUR help to survive and now is the best possible chance you have to make an impact on what you want to happen. Now is the time we stand together, join hands, help eachother and win against the haters. Dotaplayers, UNITE! A huge thanks to everyone who show interest and are willing to contribute!

It is with long faces we are to announce that Beleidiger has stepped down from his admin position. He was one of the more active admins, always helping people out and caring for DP. Beleidiger will continue to hang around on IRC and here at the forum but from now on as a regular user. Beleidiger made this decision on his own and have written some more information regarding this in his admin thread.

From the hearts of the whole crew we wish to say this: Thank you for everything! We will miss you buddy! Good luck with everything and may the force be with you.

Dear dp,

from today on our old and beloved xp channel will change the game, it's finally time for DotA2!


There are some changes for the channel, please take care of them:

• for rule changes look here
  
• the standard mode is -cm
• you dont need 25 games for XP early access anymore
• for the hosting and joining part watch this thread
  
• note that at the moment you still have to be normal member of pickup, thus you still need the validation (might sound crazy, we are working to fix that)

as promised a while ago we were searching for alternative prizes for XP-Season 4.
Now we were able to get in charge of some Dota2-Keys (sponsored by IceFrog, Dota2.com)

Dear dp,

We are currently discussing about doing some major changes to dp for the launch of DotA 2.
Since we are only a few people with limited time we'd like to ask for your assistance. We are in the need
of a design for a brand new page. Some guidelines to have in mind when doing this;

Edit: We are discussing a completely new page and not a forum. This is why we need assistance with the design.
The page must contain the following:

• A login feature menu
• sidebar
• place for advertisement.
• There should be a navigation which can be easy extended (No special different Buttons for each topic)

If you have any skills regarding design/layouts your help will be much appreciated.
