The Pickup council would like to thank everyone who voted about what mode we should change to in Euro. It was a even run between -rd and -ar and we decided to go with -rd for a while. Add2 is still -sd. However, since many people seemed to like the idea of playing -ar, we will switch to -ar after about a week of -rd. Add2 will still be -sd.

As for the bots we have made some changes aswell. The bots now displays what kind of modes people have voted for. The new layout will be The following:

[2rd/3sd]30(5): Name1, Name2, Name3, Name4, Name5 next(0): - <6.68c>

Here you can see that 2people voted for rd and 3 for sd. The mode that gets the most votes will be played. If it ends up 5/5, the mode that is first (add(1)), will be played.

We hope you like our changes and we hope you enjoy to play something besides -sd for a while.

Dear dp-members,

we have decided it's time to change the creepskip rule (outside the base) to make it easier and more exciting to play.





Old Rule:
OUTSIDE BASE (towers):
    * RULE: You are allowed to hit a tower ONLY IF IT'S ATTACKING something (creep, catapult or hero that followed this rule).
      (Rephrased: you are only allowed to initiate an attack on a tower if your own wavecreeps are within attack-range of the tower.)
    * AFTER: Once inside tower range correctly, you can stay as long as you want.
    * WARNING: If you see a tower idling, do not attack it! If you leave tower range, MAKE SURE you respect the above rule when returning, don't get distracted by deniable status or enemy heroes! Those things don't matter!

New Rule:
OUTSIDE BASE (towers):
    * You are allowed to attack any tower at any given time.

Dear dp-members,

First of all, let us announce the following about the TV poll: We thank everyone who applied and for shown interest in the TV position! Due to the fact that top-voted members withdrew their applications we will stick to our previous system in the future. Trusted Vouchers will be announced by the DP-Council without any chance to apply for this position anymore. We thank everyone who showed their interest and thank everyone who voted and gave their opinion.

As for the current poll we have decided to promote bull as Trusted Voucher. Congratulations and a big welcome to the crew.

Furthermore JourneysEnd will be demoted as TV due the fact that he's quite inactive. We have more bad news; As most of you heard Miss_Wayne/nao decided to step down as TV. Quinn just made the same announcement that he will step down due to limited time in the nearest future. The DP crew thank these three people for their activity and their help. We wish you good luck in the future!

Announcement about the TP applications: We were sad to see that Miss_Wayne/Nao withdrew her application due to a lot of criticism. However CrackAttack is promoted to Trusted Player and we welcome him to the crew and hope he might be a valuable asset.

The Pickup Council also decided to set a lowest XP limit to 500 for the XP channel. If you happen to get below the 500 mark you will automatically get kicked. Reapplication for XP access can be done in the 'early xp requests'-forum after 2 months. As for more updates concerning the XP channel will be announced on a later occasion. Please stay tuned.

Last but not least we would like to point out that if you have ANY suggestions or ideas, please don't be scared to share them with us, querying an Admin/TP or write it in the suggestion section.

Dear dp-members,

Baltaz will be removed from the position as Trusted Voucher due to inactivity and LuckShot has decided that he will resign. We thank them for their help and the time they put into improving this community! We would also like to announce that you can now apply to become a Trusted Voucher! The interest thread will be open for one week and then we will have a public poll where you can vote for the person(s) that you think would fit best for the TV position.
The poll will be open for approximately one week. The council will then after the vote decide internally about the top voted users who would fit best of the TV position!

Dear Pickupers,

instead of using the last played game as an indicator that the Qauth has been recreated, having admins check manually if that is the case and if so, that the same user has done so, the system does most of that automatically now.
What that means for you is that you can be inactive on dotapickup without having to be reaccepted if you still used your Qauth.
All Auths have been reaccepted if they were not recreated after beeing previously (re)accepted by us. hfgl!

Dear Pickupers,

starting next Saturday April 3rd, being validated will be mandatory for every Pickup player. It's been a long time since we introduced the validation and it has been mandatory for all New Users ever since. So now it's time we ask the remaining non-validated players to validate their accounts as well, it's a very easy process and you can read up on how to do it in this thread. All non-validated users will be kicked from the channels and will only be able to rejoin after they successfully validated their account.
All members who already validated their account will be able to join and play as usual.

more great news! Our hostbots have been updated to support the newly released tool called GProxy++. This tool allows to rejoin a game after beeing disconnected. It is still in a beta phase but apparently it already works pretty well and will be improved even more in the future.

You read right! The wait is now over! As you all know XP has been down for quite some time. We are now very pleased to inform that XP is now up and working again. A huge thanks to everyone who has helped with the bots and to make this work. We also would like to take the time to thank our community for having good patience during this down period.
